One-on-One Nutrition Counseling
During the first session with a client, Jim Meister conducts a thorough assessment which includes a variety of questions about the client's eating habits, exercise habits, and health status. This helps Jim identify areas requiring dietary counseling and change. The assessment also includes measurement of the client's weight, body fat percentage, waist circumference, and body mass index. These measurements are repeated periodically to assess progress. Also during the first session, Jim does education on key nutrition principles and calculates a personalized calorie goal for the client. He then develops for them a personalized, flexible meal plan to help the client achieve their daily calorie goal.
During follow up sessions, Jim Meister reviews the client's progress with suggested behavior changes and repeats measurements including body weight. He also reviews and analyzes client food diaries to provide them with accountability and ideas for dietary change. Jim also teaches clients about a variety of key nutrition topics, some of which include:
